What Is The Opposite Of Equal

Equal signifies that two entities are identical. Inequality can be indicated by someone lacking the same rights, freedoms, or opportunities as another individual. Also included among the opposites of equal are positive characteristics such as individuality, talent, outperformance, and diversity. In general, the value of life is in things that are singular, distinct, and unique. The terms listed below are common opposites of equal.

Above 

It means at a layer or level higher than.

Asymmetric

Aspects or features that are not equal or equivalent; unequal.

Below 

It means at a layer or level lower than.

Better

More favorable, appealing, or worthy.

Contrasting 

Comparing in a way to emphasize differences.

Deficient

Not having enough of a particular characteristic or element.

Depart From 

To act or think differently from what is usual or expected.

Differ From

To be not like someone or something.

Different 

Not identical to another or one another; unlike in nature, form, or character.

Discernible

means able to be identified, recognized, or distinguished.

Disparate 

Inherently dissimilar in nature; not comparable.

Dissimilar

Not alike; different.

Distinct 

Very different in nature from other things of a comparable type.

Distinguishable

Relatively different from being recognized or identified as distinct; discernible.

Divergent 

Exhibiting a tendency to be dissimilar or to develop in dissimilar ways.

Diverse

Displaying a great deal of variety; being highly distinct or different.

Excels 

Be exceptional at a certain activity or subject matter.

Exceptional

Excelling at a particular activity or subject to an exceptional degree.

Extraordinary 

Very uncommon or remarkable.

Falls Short

Fail to satisfy a standard or expectation.

Greater

Significantly superior in ability, quality, or importance than the norm or average.

Heterogeneous

Differing in appearance or content.

Incomparable 

Unequaled in quality or extent; unparalleled.

Incompatible

So radically dissimilar in character that they cannot coexist

Individual 

A single person not included in a group, class, or family.

Inequality

Discrepancies in size, degree, conditions, etc.; absence of equality.

Less Than 

It indicates that one quantity is lesser than another.

Lesser

Smaller in size, quality, degree, or significance; of lesser standing.

Mismatched 

​​Unsuitably or wrongly match (people or things).

More Than

To a great degree; to the extreme.

Opposite 

Radically different; of a contrary nature.

Original

Having or producing something new and uncommon.

Outclasses 

To surpass or excel to such a degree as to be or seem to be of a higher class.

Outperform

To perform better than.

Outshines 

Be much superior to (someone/something) in a certain field.

Particular

An individual entity, as opposed to a general trait.

Prominent 

Positioned so as to draw attention; noticeable.

Rare

Remarkably excellent or outstanding.

Separate 

Constituted or perceived as a single or independent entity.

Singular

Referring to one person or item exclusively.

Special 

Better, greater, or distinct from the norm.

Specific

Distinctly identified or characterized.

Stands Out 

Be demonstrably superior or more important than someone or something.

Surpasses

Exceed; be superior or greater than.

Talent 

Innate aptitude or competence.

Unalike

Distinct from one another; dissimilar.

Unequal 

Not equal in size, quantity, or value.

Uneven

Not consistent, regular, or equal.

Unique 

Being original; not being comparable to anything else.

Unlike

Different from; dissimilar to.

Variable 

Inconsistent or lacking a consistent pattern; susceptible to change.

Varied

Integrating multiple types or elements; displaying variance or diversity.

Worse

Inferior in quality or standard; inferior in value or desirability.
